Milestones
1999
Professional poker players and students Oskar Hörnell and Claes Lidell create their own poker site by founding the company Ongame e-solutions and launching PokerRoom.com in October 1999.

2001
Real money poker games are launched at PokerRoom.com. Ongame’s revenues amount to approximately SEK 9 million with a pre-tax profit of about SEK 2 million.

2003
This year sees a world-wide breakthrough for online poker, growing by more than 600% during the year. At year-end, Ongame has 63 employees. The customer base grows to 1.4 million registered players.

2004
PokerNetwork (renamed Ongame Network in 2005) is established as a software supplier for other operators, with 8 sites and ca 3.5 million registered players in the network. Two new offices are opened, in Stockholm and San José. At year-end 143 people work for the company.

2005
In January, PokerRoom.com is appointed “Poker Site of the Year” by the trade magazine Inside Edge. Swedish business magazine Veckans Affärer appoints Ongame “IT Company of the Year”.
Ongame’s site HoldemPoker.com launches poker with real money. In October Ongame has 230 employees and Ongame Network has approximately 6 million registered players.

2006
PokerRoom.com is once more appointed “Poker Site of the Year” by the trade magazine Inside Edge. Ongame is acquired by the Austrian betting company betandwin (now bwin Interactive Entertainment AG). bwin announces the acquisition of Ongame e-solutions AB.

2007
bwin is the world’s largest publicly listed betting and gaming company.

2008
bwin Games AB in Stockholm (formerly Ongame e-solutions AB) employs 100 new people and now has 400 employees in total.

2009
bwin rolls out the most innovative poker platform P5, developed at bwin Games in Stockholm.

2010
Peter Bertilsson becomes new Managing Director for bwin Games AB. Bwin acquires Italian operator Gioco Digitale and launches a five millon player poker network in Italy. France passes a bill to open the online gaming market.

2011
bwin Games presents the first-ever real money poker app for iPhone and iPad.

2012
Ongame becomes part of the global Amaya gaming Group Inc.
