Full speed towards Christmas

It has been an interesting week. First and foremost, I’ve taken a step into the adult world and moved in together with my girlfriend. It feels great taking the next step and I am really looking forward to creating something new together, but there is a lot of unpacking to take care of first.
Work wise I’ve been given a new role which will go into effect from January 1st next year. My new position will be “Head of Poker” which means responsibility of the development and profitability for the poker product. I am very happy I was asked and I am very much looking forward to joining the product development team. I am also pleased to see Jonas Nilsson in the same team going ahead.
We had a pretty cool evening at work last night when we did a “Dragon’s Den” Ongame edition. Internal innovators presented their ideas and were questioned by a jury. We had 11 ideas in total, spanning all over the board, and it was really fun listening to these motivated and committed contributors. The winner was awarded one month of development time to realize his idea, an iPad and a bottle of bubbly. Congratz! The pic below shows the Dragons in action.
I am shifting to the third gear this weekend when my friend Dick arrives from Zürich. We will be quite a big crew meeting this weekend and have great plans. We are starting off with a nicer lunch at Grodan today and a bigger happening on Saturday. I will also use the extra time I do not have to clean my old apartment and move the last stuff. This will be the last post of 2010 so let me take the opportunity to thank all readers and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
