Bragging and truths

Welcome back blog! We finally have a new website and working technology. I will continue to collect my thoughts digitally and invite all of you to participate in my life. So, things have changed quite a lot lately. I am since the beginning of this year responsible for the poker vertical at Ongame, basically translating into profitability and product. With that responsibility follows a team of 8 dedicated poker lovers working to develop the product and to optimize the operational offering. I am really excited about what the future holds as Ongame is up for sale and the waves of regulation sweeping across Europe and US. I know we are world leading in terms of network ecology and have the most modern technology, a combination which enables us to show superior profitability. The future is bright so let’s wear shades. Brag [x]. Truth [x].
We have spent a great deal of time nailing development for primarily Q2. We have some cool stuff coming up and I think several of the end customers (the players) will be extremely happy as well as our primary customers (the operators). When we set out what to do we look at frontend, backend, maintenance and technology improvements. All initiatives are sorted and selected and moved into capacity planning and we look at what to achieve when. It might sound like a pragmatic process but every vertical owner has to fight for the capacity and persuade the company that we are doing the right things. Merging all ideas into one prioritized list is.. eh, challenging.
I am going to the very south of Italy for the weekend. Sitting front row overlooking Nato’s fireworks in Libya is not the official reason – I am going there for pure selfish culinary reasons and I want to experience that region in Italy. I consider that country my second home and if moving there in the future I need to know where to buy that (garden) house. I’ve primarily been to northern Italy, except for the Amalfi coast but I have big hopes for south-east as well. Anyway, thanks for reading,
Fredrik
