Responsible gaming

As an online gaming pioneer, Ongame Services has brought the enthusiasm for gaming and betting to the internet. Ongame Services wants to reach out to the new generation of online gamers – with exciting and challenging offers – and takes responsibility. Ongame Services builds on the strengths of Web 2.0 in order to tie up responsibility and gaming.

Responsible Gaming for Ongame Services is based on the following three pillars: Gamer Security, Protection Against Gaming Addiction, and Gaming Security.

1. Gamer Security
Ongame takes responsibility for the security of its gamers. For their protection, Ongame Services follows the principles of the EGBA (European Gaming and Betting Association) by excluding minors and protecting privacy. The quality of Ongame Services’ Gamer Security is ensured by an audit conducted by the internationally recognized and independent non-profit organization eCOGRA (e-Commerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance).

2. Protection against Gaming Addiction: Research – Prevention – Intervention
Ongame Services actively works to prevent gaming addiction and all of our responsible gaming activities are designed with this principle in mind. Ongame Services’ Responsible Gaming Team provides help for people with gaming problems within its gamer protection scheme. In the world-famous Division on Addictions (DOA), Cambridge Health Alliance, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, Ongame Services has had a research partner for many years that is also a pioneer in the field of addiction research.

3. Gaming Security
Ongame assumes responsibility for the security of its gaming line-up in two ways: first of all, Ongame Services ensures “gaming usability” to keep gamers from making mistakes, such as placing bets or wagers unintentionally. Secondly, the Ongame Services online monitoring system and the experienced eye of the bookmakers help protect against fraud. Manipulation of bets and money laundering are crimes, not a game. Ongame Services works in close cooperation with the ESSA (European Sports Security Association) in the framework of the EGBA.

Personal responsibility
Ongame Services’ customers take responsibility for their gaming. As experienced internet users, they are willing to undergo an identity check. Every responsible gaming provider must exclude minors and players by blocking gaming accounts. Ongame Services customers can also use our information services and close their own account. Ongame Services respects the self-control of our customers. That is the most sustainable form of protection.
