With the help of MIT (The Massachusetts Institute of Technology) we have optimized the Scrum methodology to maximize quality output and employee satisfaction. We have 15 scrum teams totaling about 110 employees iterating in 3 week sprints.
Following an MIT study on the development situation at Ongame Services in the fall of 2008, the sprints have evolved to also include a “Lantern Day” at the end of each sprint to reflect and share knowledge. Other knowledge management efforts include very popular, department wide technical book circles.
Together we also go to the San Francisco conferences JavaOne and Game Developers Conference, as well as QCon and Splash.
